What to do with the Kids outgrown clothing?
What to do with all the kids outgrown clothes?
So what can you do with your kids clothes once they no longer fit them?
It can be hard to know what to do with your children's outgrown clothes! Kids also grow so quickly so most preloved clothing items are barely worn and are in excellent condition!
Facebook & Marketplace
Facebook marketplace can be a handy place to sell your preloved kids and baby clothing and even larger items like pushchairs and furniture.
You can also find facebook selling groups for towns, villages, citys and even certain brands. These groups are fantastic for reaching out to more people!
Family & Friends
If you know someone who is pregnant or has a young child, and you have clothes that no longer fit your child then you can always hand them down! People are being more open to preloved clothing than ever before too!
Recycle
If you've got clothing that is worse for wear, and no longer usable then you can recycle them. You can usually find out about recycling services within your area.
Clothes for Schools
Some schools take part in clothes for schools, where you can bag up your used clothing and drop it off at your childs school. Clothes for School collects the clothing and the school raises some much needed funds in commission for the used clothing.
Clothing Banks
Clothing banks are usually easily accessible at large supermarkets or even at a firestation (we have one near us). They also help to raise money for charities and can help clear clothing quickly! Plus, you can also pop the clothes into the clothes bank whilst on your way out or shopping!
Repurposing
Repurposing clothing items is becoming so much more popular than ever before, making a used item into something new is a real achievement! Its also fun getting your children involved in crafts! My child's school also asked for used clothing to make into christmas bags, so you can also ask local schools if they would like items for crafts!
Community Groups & Community Fridges
If you've got a community group or community fridge near you, they may well take donations. We've got a fabulous community fridge in our area that also takes used children's clothes, to help those less fortunate with clothing!
Selling
Selling your baby and children's used clothing can be a win win deal! You can make some money and put it towards your children's next size clothing. Popular selling platforms are Ebay, Vinted and Gumtree.

Charity Shops
You can also donate your children's used but wearable clothing to charity shops, independent shops and other used clothing shops within your local area. Charity shops are a great way of clearing your used items, decluttering and supporting important charities at the same time.
Donate
We also take in children's used clothing donations and will pay for your postage.

Animal Rescue Places
You can also donate used children's clothing, towels, bedding and blankets to animal rescue charities, to be used for animal blankers, bedding and more. These donations can help to keep animals comfortable.
Memory Boxes
Memorable peices of clothing like children's first babygrows, coming home outfits and special occasion outfits are perfect for being kept. A memory box is a great way of keeping little memories together and being able to look back on your little ones first days or special occasions, years later.
