Who is behind Little Ones Preloved?

Hi, I’m Emma—a busy mum of three amazing kids with special needs, a full-time law student, and the one-woman show behind Little Ones Preloved! Based in Norfolk, I run this small business solo, shipping parcels all over the UK. I add new stock daily, but it flies off the shelves fast! Once it’s sold out, it’s gone, so you’ve got to be quick to snag the best finds. Life is hectic as I juggle it all, but I absolutely love what I do!

In 2023, I was thrilled to help over 25 families in need with free clothing parcels—what an achievement for our first year! Although I can no longer offer free parcels, I'm doing my best to keep prices as low as possible to ensure children's clothing is affordable for everyone. As a parent, I know how tough it can be to manage all the costs that come with raising kids. Brand new clothes can be pricey, and in 2024, we've seen a big increase in parents opting for second-hand kids' clothing—not just for the savings, but for the planet too! About Our Clothing Items

What are your Clothing Conditions?

We pride ourselves with only stocking quality clothing, whilst also providing wearable playwear condition clothing. We will never sell an item where it is not fit for wear. In the event where we do make a mistake, please contact us as we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Please be mindful that the majority of our clothing stock is second hand, therefore unless stated, clothing may show signs of wear.

We sell items in the following conditions: These conditions can also be found on each product page and collection page, making sure our customers are fully aware of the conditions before purchasing.

  • New with Tags

These are brand new items with the tags still attached. They should not have wear unless stated in the description.

  • New without Tags

These are brand new children's clothes items that are new but have no tags attached. These should not show signs of wear unless stated in the description.

  • Very Good Condition

These are second hand children's clothes in overall very good condition, they may show very minor signs of wear. Please note, any defects with our children's & baby preloved clothing should be stated in the description.

  • Good Condition

These are pre loved baby & second hand children's clothes in good condition. They may show minor signs of wear such as small marks or light wash wear. Please note, any defects with our children's used clothing should be stated in the description.

  • Playwear Condition

These are second hand children's clothes and preloved baby clothing but with staining, holes or wear. Suitable for messy play and nursery. These are perfect for garden play, so parents have no stress about getting those pesky grass and mud stains in the little ones favourite clothing.

  • Ex-Stock

Our ex-stock items are unsold products from well-known brands. These items never made it to the original store shelves and were resold by the brand to keep them in circulation. They are brand new but may have their brand labels blanked out or removed.

Colours

Please note that while we try to show the colors of our products accurately in the images, they may look different on your screen. This means the actual item might appear slightly darker or lighter when you receive it.

Sizes

Size descriptions are provided for each product, but please keep in mind that sizes can vary between brands. The same size might fit differently depending on the brand.

Names

Please note that a few items may have a name stamped or written on the care label by the previous owner. We don't consider this a flaw, as it doesn't affect the item's usability.

How do I know if an item is still available?

At Little Ones Preloved, we do our best to keep our stock updated. Since most items are one-of-a-kind, they disappear from our website once sold out. However, in rare cases, stock errors may occur, leading us to cancel and refund an item that’s no longer available.

How do I place an order?

If you would like to make a purchase with us, simply add the items of your choice into your online basket and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. Contact us if you have any issues.

I've placed an order but want to add more items

If you've placed and order but now you've found more preloved goodies, simply email us. If we've not packed or shipped your initial order yet, we can add the extra items to your order and send you an invoice for the difference to be paid. This way, you'll only pay for shipping once!

How do you size your clothing?

We list our clothing based on the manufacturers labels. We are careful to note if any item appears slightly larger or smaller in size, so our customers are aware. We do not sell items that are mishaped, shrunk or stretched.

We list our clothing items in the correct size categories, this means age 5 years will be found in size 4-5 years. Did you know that these two sizes are exactly the same?

Can I collect my order from you?

Unfortunately, we do not allow collection as we are an online only business. However, we do provide free local delivery on orders of £10+, within 10 miles. Postage applies for further afield.

How much does postage cost?

We charge a set amount for postage, this is £3.65 Royal Mail.

We offer FREE POSTAGE on orders of £40+

How long do you take to dispatch an order?

We aim to dispatch our orders within 5 working days.

How long does delivery take?

Once your order is dispatched, it will usually take between 3-5 working days to be delivered. However, sometimes there can be a delay with holidays or busy periods. These delays with the shipping companies are unfortunately out of our control but we do our best to chase for an update for you.

What shipping companies do you use?

We currently use Evri and Royal Mail to ship our orders. If you are needing a different shipping provider please contact us and we will do our best.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently only ship within the UK. However, we are looking into shipping outside of the UK in the near future, we just need to complete some research first.

What is there is a problem with my order?

We're a very small business and we do our best to ensure our products are described correctly, packed carefully and dispatched timely. But in the event that our service does fall short, please do not hestitate to contact us. We cannot learn from mistakes without being aware of them and we are not afraid of owning our mistakes either. We want every customer to be happy with their purchase and will do our best to resolve any issues. See our Contact Us Page

Can I return my order to you?

We accept returns within 14 days of receipt of your parcel. Items must be returned in the condition you received them in and the postage must be covered by yourself. In the event where we have made a mistake, we will make arrangements to cover the postage cost.

How do I sell my childrens second hand clothing to you?

We're super pleased to be able to offer our trade-in service again! We pay per KG for your children's used clothing. Most local cash for clothes places will only pay between 0.25p - 0.50p per KG, but we offer you between £1.50 - £3 per KG. Giving you more money for your children's clothing. We know your children will grow out of clothes so quickly and most items barely get worn, which is why we're happy to offer more for your items. Read more about our Sell-To-Us process here.

Can I donate items to you?

We happily accept donations of children's clothing in good condition and we'll even cover the postage on parcels of 5kg or more. Please email us to discuss.

How do I enter your monthly competition?

Anyone can enter our monthly competition! We post about our competition at the beginning of each month, on Facebook! Anyone can enter by simply commenting on it. We also allow for extra entries if you enter our Hall of Fame, place an order or leave us a review. Read more about our competitions here.
